Drivers' Hours of Operation Provisions in HR 22

  • December 2, 2015: The House of Representatives will be voting Thursday, December 3rd, on final passage of a $305.5 billion five-year surface transportation bill, HR 22, Fixing America’s Surface Transportation Act (FAST Act).  NRMCA staff is currently examining the bill to measure its full impact on our industry, but we are happy to report that three NRMCA advocated Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) Drivers’ Hours of Service (HOS) provisions were preserved in the final bill. These three provisions are specific to the ready mixed concrete industry.
